The Grassroots team are visiting Ndola, Zambia this week. They are going to each of the 5 churches that act as bases for grassroots child sponsorship. Today they received a warm welcome at Church of Christ, Makubi. The children sang beautifully for us and a parent shared how the support of Grassroots is making a big difference when life is so precarious. Makubi is in a rural area and reliant on a good harvest.
Yesterday Barney and Sara (representing Grassroots on this year’s visit to sponsored children in Zambia) were at the ‘Doers Bible Church’. Their name comes from the belief that they want to be Doers of the word, not just hearers of the word. Life is often a struggle for survival and yet they believe in putting their faith in action by serving the poorest in their community.
