Church here is for many a very different experience from the UK. The joy and excitement, the music and dancing is amazing. Many choirs sang including a number of child choirs, one led by a 4 year old…. so sweet!
It was such fun to see the UK team sing and dancing in our own UK choir! Don't think we were quite as good as the locals!
The 3 hour service was quite an experience.
After lunch (yet again a marvellous feast cooked by the local team, which we all enjoyed until we discovered it was liver!!**) the Bishop Luffa team said "GoodBye" to the many children wanting to play with them …. and headed off back to their camp. This was their last day with the Grassroots project. Tomorrow they prepare for a 5 day trek to Lake Malawi. They want friends and family to know they will be stopping tomorrow at an internet cafe and will be trying to catch up with facebook etc …so watch your email.
The rest of the UK had a few more interviews to do with children from a village called Swaya. Then off we went to the market. The variety of goods is interesting. Most of the clothes and shoes for sale are second hand, but the fruit is amazing. Then it was back to church again.
Tomorrow is our last full day…
