Today the interview team and the building team merged. The children who will be living in the new home being built by the team were taken onto the Grassroots sponsorship scheme. The children are now more than excited about their new home and sponsorship provides them with the school things they are lacking to help them get a successful education. Tomorrow we leave for home but not before a thanksgiving service at the house and celebration pizza.
The build has been hard work and the children from the family have been around to help.
In the last few days the team has met so many children. Over 170 children are now sponsored through Grassroots in Romania and for most we have traveled to their homes to see them where they live. Often this has meant a long walk from where the car had to stop because the tracks are too rough. But what a joy it is to get to the children’s homes. They have been waiting, getting excited, ready to meet with us, tell their stories and have their photos taken. With every family we listen, laugh, play and pray!
