Great first day in Mbeya. The team all enjoyed worship in the various churches. Everyone had to “bring a greeting” – which is a way of saying hello to the church.
Sharon spoke this morning and then there was lunch. Lots of rice, a little meat, and veg. Lovely!
The afternoon meant more church services. Jimmy & Jamie both spoke. Very good! Even with all the struggles of being a Christian in the very hard circumstances of living in such a poor community, these great people worship the Lord with love, energy, thankfulness and overwhelming enthusiasm. The team is very tired.
Once we got back to the Karibuni tonight one person went to sleep in their room and locked the door and we couldn’t wake them. Eventually had to find a long stick and send it through the window. 20 mins later….. !
Tomorrow all the young people from Bishop Luffa School arrive. We and the local Tanzania team are their hosts for a week. Our lot will lead them in various teams as we make a genuine difference to families, etc. Tell you more as it happens!
