When COVID19 started spreading in Kenya the government commanded all institutions to send residents to live somewhere as safe as possible in the community. Watu wa Maana Street Children’s Centre (where Grassroots sponsors children) sent all children where they could find a safe home to that home. This has been very difficult on those families as many are very poor, so the Watu wa Maana has given the children parcels of food and provisions – the aim is to give this every two weeks. This is a video of the children coming to receive the parcels and an explanation of what they are receiving.
