This week small Grassroots UK team (Mel, Sally and Andy) are in Bistrita (Romania) and the surrounding villages. Cristina, from our partner organisation Benita, has set up interviews with all the Grassroots sponsored children. Some of the children are being visited by the team in their homes, while other families are coming to the Benita centre. It is so wonderful to see how the families are coming out of poverty and the children are growing up confident and happy.
Meeting the Grassroots sponsored children in Romania often means going off road. The car cannot make it up the tracks, so we walk. When we reach the home of one of the sponsored children’s families there is always a warm welcome, smiles and lots of laughter. Interviews and drawing pictures for sponsors inside.
