Better Homes – Romania

We love building new houses for those who need them, but not everyone does. Lives can be changed drastically with quite minor, and less expensive, interventions. Put in an electricity supply … changing lighting to low energy … installing a woodburning stove (for cooking, heating and heating hot water) … attaching a house to a water main … putting in an inside toilet … putting in water tight double glazing … plastering the walls … putting in loft or wall insulation … repairing roof tiles and stopping any leaks …. putting in a proper foundation and floor (rather than the mud floors some houses still have) … any of these things can make a massive difference to quality of life. So we have set up a fund. We are calling it “Better Homes – Romania”. Even a small donation of £10 or £20, together with so many others, will quickly add up to something that transforms a family’s every day. But of course you could give more!!
