Birthday, Christmas or just because… Sometimes you want to send a gift to your sponsored child but you do not know them well and you would prefer to send a card and allow the local team, who know them better, to buy them something they really want or need. So send Grassroots money for a gift and we will send it to Africa. The team will buy something and give it to them from you!
It is important that each child receives a gift that is right for their situation and age appropriate. If the value is over £15 we will buy the child a gift but also get other things that will benefit the whole family, like extra food. For older children we sometimes get a small gift and give the rest of the money to the young person as cash. This goes down really well!
