Tanzania is officially not in famine however the government has said that 70% of those living in the villages only eat once per day. Food insecurity is very real and very close. With the harvest still a few months away Grassroots has taken the decision to increase the amount of food we give out in one of our most at risk centres. For the next 8 weeks a nutritionally balanced breakfast will be provided for the sponsored children in Swaya. This is in addition to their sponsorship. Please pray that the harvest will be enough.
