These are the words of Tim who visited Good Neighbours during a business trip to Kenya this week:
“The gorgeous children at El-Shaddai school start to unpack the instruments I brought out with me… it was amazing. One little girl is completely isolated and doesn’t mix with the other children but she was fascinated by the Ocean Drum and started giggling and smiling. Grace said she has never seen her happy before. Humbling. There are 20 children at the school that are not sponsored – just £5 a month provides school uniform, cost of schooling and a bowl of porridge everyday. These are gorgeous children just like ours – the only difference being that they have nothing. I really encourage you to take a look at grassroots.org.uk/theta and think about it more!“
Me with Naomi, Joy, Esther, Beth, Mary, Sylvia – and a couple of random kids that thought this looked like a good gig! The 3 mums are with me too…. this is in Naomi’s garden. Having now witnessed first hand the difference that just £5 a month can make to these children I couldn’t recommend it more. Btw Grassroots policy is that 100% of your donation goes to the children. It’s simply amazing work going on here.
