From Sharon, after a very exhausting day and having just returned to the team hotel:
"I had a conversation with a Mum in Romania as to how her children being sponsored has helped her and her family.
Question: Has sponsorship made any difference?
Answer: From the bottom of my heart …. so much! I have three children and my husband has died. My mother also lives with us. I only earn £100 per month and this makes it very difficult for me to provide for my family of 5 people. Sponsorship means that my children for the first time have new clothes for school.
Question: Why is this important?
Answer: My children were stigmatized and had no friends and looked tatty. Now they can hold their head up and they fit in. Now they have good friends at school. This makes it easier for them to have a good education that will help change their lives. My children are my stars but without the help of sponsorship I cannot give them what they need for school.
Just part of a conversation we had today with a family who are sponsored in Romania with The Grassroots Trust. Still many in need of help looking for a sponsor."
