Breakthrough for regulars please God!
-
01 March, 2010
Hello :)There have been lots of regulars coming up to see us at the Living Room over the last few weeks and we have had a good time hanging out with them, playing table tennis and pool with them and generally getting to know them. They are beginning to ask questions about who we are and why we believe in what we believe which is great. It always amazes me how just "being" with people and having time for them is enough to open the door to their heart and let God work. We are praying for more and more opportunities to chat to these guys about God and how much he loves them.
There is also a regular gang of Living Room-ers coming to church with us too. We are having to send two cars to pick them up these days! Some of these guys are really desperate people and come from really desperate situations and we long for them to grasp how much God loves them and how set free they could be if they chose to trust in him. It is exciting that they are coming to Silencio Church and regularly putting themselves not only in a place where God is so evidently present and where they can experience awesome times of worship but, best of all, where they can hear stories from others who have allowed God to radically change their lives around. Whether they know it or not, they are putting themselves in a place where God has the permission to reach into their lives and touch them and we believe it is only a matter of time before they experience Him! Please pray for them!
In answer to our prayers recently, we have had more PR's and guys from the working community visit the Living Room but we would still like to see more breakthrough in this area and on the streets too, we are praying God breaks through and gives us more opportunities and openings to be used by him and really go deeper with people.
Charlotte and I continue to visit the lap dancers and strip bars and enjoy chatting to the girls. There are a lot of new girls at the moment who have recently come over to Tenerife. Please pray that we can build good friendships with them.
Please also continue to pray for Lee's health. He has acquired a football injury in his abdomen which is unfortunately stopping him from playing football at the moment. Lee has a great ministry here among the lads on the football teams and it is a great way for him to build relationships in a deeper way so please pray that he is healed, restored to full health and able to get back to football and the work he has been doing there.
There are so many different people who are in our lives at the moment and who we lift up regularly in prayer. Over the next few weeks, I aim to post daily and in more detail with some of these people who we long to see God touch.
Thanks for your prayers and remember " A yes on earth, is a yes in Heaven; a No on earth, is a No in Heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and makes a prayer of it, my father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I'll be there". Matt 18 v 19(msg)
Love Rachel and Team :)
