Chennai270109_165All the children have now been interviewed. We have spent quality time with each one and with a parent or guardian. Some great stories of whole families' destinies turned round. Others.... just tragic!

Today we have been sorting out the money and making sure every penny people give for the work of SKM is getting to where it should, and then taking more from other funds to supplement. Everything they do here is fantastic and so essential.

This afternoon there was a prayer service in the church. Great to be part of this. Everyone here knows that even resources from UK cannot make the big changes needed. Only God's involvement can do the miracles that we all hope will change everything here. The prayers offered here are passionate, intense, tarful, joyous... Oh God save the British!

We spent three hours this afternoon visiting homes and praying with people. We met mice and rats! One house had 13 people living in a 10' square space. There was a family of four living in a 8' by 6' shack. One whole section of the community has no toilets and no fresh water. Another section has 3 toilets for 400 people... and then water at a hand pump a bit down the road. Another bit is really well served with a whole toilet for 7 families. You can imagine what the streets are like around these houses. No real way to describe the multisensory horror!
