What
For the last 2 summer seasons a team have been reaching out in the clubbing capital of Cyprus where a huge number of 18-30’s go every year for sun, sea, sex and sambuka. At night time we visit the workers to see how they are doing and let them know about the REHAB café we run during the day.  We were packed out averaging 100 workers coming in. In amongst all this we’ve had amazing chats about life and Jesus. We saw people meet with Jesus and one lad got baptised in the sea.

Who
Wendy Adams, who built the work in Tenerife, moved to Cyprus for 6 months. She and Jade Holtham got together a group of 6 others who came and ran REHAB, went out on the streets to meet people at night and got involved with so many other things God is doing on the island.

What can you do
Pray for the 2009 team who have just returned to the UK and ask yourself if you should joining the team from April 2010. Now 2010 season is beginning to be planned in earnest and we really need to know from you urgently if you would like to be part of the team.

We need people with all sorts of gifts. Some team members help with the catering in the "Rehab Cafe"; others are most focussed on the streets chatting to people late at night; another person could come with the main aim of being a worship leader or intercessor; or maybe focussing on the wider work with the churches in Larnaca and Nicosia. We need both men & women, young and not so young, trendy and not so trendy... as long as you are prepared to worship God, share Jesus and work hard even when it's hot! In the end we all muck in and do what is necessary.

You can join us for the whole season or for a part of it. There is support you have to raise for your flights, living costs and insurance. You can either cover this yourself or raise your support by others (individuals or churches) donating to the project on your behalf.

The first thing to do is download these forms (application form and health form ) and drop then in the post. Assuming they are ok we will then get back to you and confirm your place on the team. After that we will try to meet up with you and give you some orientation (at the team meeting if possible) and give you a chance to ask any questions.
