You can buy a present for Christmas, someone's birthday, a wedding anniversary or any occasion. But when you buy an alternative gift your loved one gets nothing but a card from you saying they are the sponsor of something really important for a very poor family who live in the slums of Chennai.
For example: If you send a £12 gift (for a BEDDING PACK. See below for other prices) to Grassroots we will send you a GIFT SPONSORSHIP CERTIFICATE with an envelope to give to your relative or friend. If you want you can even tell us their name (by leaving a note in the payment process) and we will print it on the certificate. Then, during our next trip to Chennai, we will commission our team to buy a bedding pack for a very poor family (including a mat, a sheet and 2 pillows).
