Steve Tuppen, with his good mate James Neave, has ridden across Britain (www.rideacrossbritain.com). It all happened in June 2010. The ride covered over 1,000 miles in 9 days, from John O'Groats to Lands End, and was definitely tough.
In November, last year, Beth (Steve's wife) and Molly (his 16 year old daughter - in the picture) visited Tanzania with Grassroots to help the many needy children. For some Grassroots provides education and healthcare, while for others what's needed is a chance of staying alive! They saw how much Grassroots makes a difference. If we can raise £5000 that will send another 30 children to secondary school for a year, or give enough food to get 120 small children out of malnutrition and beginning to grow properly.

Please sponsor Steve, it will change the lives of many, and make even more worth it that they kept their pedals turning!
I have setup a Twitter page where I will post commentary and the odd picture. You can follow me, if you are interested, at: http://twitter.com/stevetup or http://twitter.com/DeloitteRAB for everyone else!
In the context of the recent Dispatches programme on Channel 4 it is important to tell you that Grassroots has not paid anything to the organisers of this event for Steve's place. In fact Deloitte gave Steve his place and for that we are very grateful! Thank you!
