This is the fundraising page for makelunch.org.uk. Please give generously!

Details of how to give are below - and all that is donated (including gift aid) will go to the LUNCH project. Funds are being collected by The Grassroots Trust which will then pass them on to the LUNCH project in the UK. Leave a comment with your donation and we'll post it below.

About LUNCH
At school more than 1.2 million pupils are eligible to receive free school meals. Outside of term time though, free school meals are not available, leaving families under additional pressure to find the extra money to buy food for the children.

This is where LUNCH comes in. During schools holidays, LUNCH provides free, healthy, cooked food to pupils. LUNCH is being run this summer in two locations in the UK, Luton and Corby. Both will provide hot food for local children and young people who usually receive free school meals.

All food served by LUNCH will be purchased with money from donations, which we are relying on to make the project successful. At LUNCH we believe that every child deserves to eat a cooked meal every day. If you agree, we need your help.

It doesn't take much money to make a huge difference. In fact, we're confident we can feed children for £1/day.

WATCH THIS SPACE ... because soon GRASSROOTS will be launching a UK child sponsorship scheme (£10 per month or £120 per year) to give a very poor child in the UK a school uniform, shoes and other kit they need for the beginning of the school year! You won't get a photo or a name, but you will know your money and prayers are making a BIG difference to a family that is scraping by.
